It's easy to change your default search engine to Bing, because that's built-in. See: [[Manage Firefox search settings]]. With Firefox's built-in new tab page, that will change the search box to Bing. Having the Bing home page as your new tab page requires an add-on. I can't find one for Bing, but Microsoft has one for MSN.
