Calendar keeps asking for password every time I open it. How do I prevent this?

We setup Calendar on a computer and Authorized it on Google's site and it worked where the user would just click on the calendar and it would go right into it. Recently it has started asking her for her Google password every time she opens calendar. Any ideas?

Make sure to use the Google main account password, not an app specific password. Also make sure to allow cookies for https://accounts.google.com in Thunderbird.

The calendar had been working for several months until yesterday. It is using the Google Password. and no changes were made to allow or disallow cookies, but I will check that to verify nothing changed and post the answer here later as the user is working now.
