I know there has been talk for long while about moving.
It would appear they moved and went live a few days ago.

but had some problems. First, you need to create a Persona account.
Then, I clicked to create a new account, but it sent me to the sign-in page.
I finally got on by using the Forgot Password link. After getting the
reset e-mail, I was able to create a password. Then, it created a new
account.
This was all I had time for tonight.

Needing a Persona account only slightly surprises me.
Some other Mozilla sites Bugzlla & MDN offer alternatives.
Something I remember commenting about in relation to proposed Sumo use of Persona. Before Persona was cast adrift into the community.
Back when those sites implemented Persona it was still in Beta and changing a lot, it made sense to offer a backup. But Persona is stable now and is the only authentication method for a number of Mozilla services like mozillians and the Marketplace.
P.S.
I actually liked the idea of Identity|Persona, and hoped it would have been successful.
I guess there was too much competition from others to have realistically expected it to have been the winner.
