  2. I was going to check out https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons

but had some problems. First, you need to create a Persona account. Then, I clicked to create a new account, but it sent me to the sign-in page.

I finally got on by using the Forgot Password link. After getting the reset e-mail, I was able to create a password. Then, it created a new account.

This was all I had time for tonight.

PS Thanks for posting the new links.

  3. Needing a Persona account only slightly surprises me.

Some other Mozilla sites Bugzlla & MDN offer alternatives. Something I remember commenting about in relation to proposed Sumo use of Persona. Before Persona was cast adrift into the community.

    • See Kadir's 2013 thread [Your help needed] Persona testing /forums/contributors/709638
Back when those sites implemented Persona it was still in Beta and changing a lot, it made sense to offer a backup. But Persona is stable now and is the only authentication method for a number of Mozilla services like mozillians and the Marketplace.

P.S. I actually liked the idea of Identity|Persona, and hoped it would have been successful. I guess there was too much competition from others to have realistically expected it to have been the winner.
