One day to the next I lost all comments in Firefox 44 and still not present after update to 44.0.1. There are NO comments, You Tubes play and they display in center screen, one large at the top with additional videos below in a double column. Youtube is fine in my old IE, comments are there just as they were in Firefox 3 days ago. In IE the main is at the top and the options are displayed in columns of 5 across. I suspect that I hit some key combination by mistake? Searching for solutions to the problem on youtube sends me to a button that isn't there. IE 11 (I never use it so I may be some "updates" behind...?) This is really important, I can't stress it enough. I have no life if I have no YouTube comments, they are my sustanance and my source for wisdom, I draw not breath without them. Please help! Barring getting my comments back, maybe you could send a sandwich in my name to the Malheur Wildlife Refuge???? Watercress would be fine. I suspect that my large, stubby fingers hit some nuclear key combo. But I may be innocent for once...

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Went through the rather large option choices one by one and finally his on the "refresh Firefox" option, couple of clicks in... https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings Find the big blue button "Refresh Firefox" about 1/3 down the page, I pushed that and bingo! Happy again in my cave... Thanks cor-el! This looks like it may be handy to remember next time.
