Firefox 3.6.15

Ran Firefox this AM and all was correct. Ended Firefox. Returned a couple of hours later, ran Firefox and all bookmarks were gone as well as all history. All saved passwords are present. Just the bookmarks and history are gone.

Cannot restore old bookmarks via the Manage Bookmarks function. Complaint that it cannot use any of the backup files listed.

Cannot bookmark any page. If I do it shows up on the bookmarks but if I end Firefox and restart it, the bookmarks and history are once again empty.

Tried all of the things listed in your help site, nothing.

Windows restore to a happier time, nothing.

Reinstalled Firefox, nothing.

Please help, losing these bookmarks is pretty much the same as losing your wallet.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
