My 3.6.8 Mozilla is not recognised by Mozilla webside when I want to install a plugin, it wants me to update first.

I was trying to install "Better Privacy" plugin but the Mozilla webside show a sign saying the plugin is not avoilable for Firefox 2.0.0.14. And that I should update my browser. I did. It didn't work, the sign didn't disappear. Before updating I had Firefox 3.6 already installed.

Your information shows that you have Firefox 2.0.0.14. Go to Help / About Firefox and verify your version and let us know what does it show.

Your user agent string, which identifies your version of Firefox has been changed by the megaupload toolbar, it incorrectly makes it appear that you have Firefox 2.0.0.14 instead of 3.6.8

If you reset it, you should then be able to install the add-on. For details see Web sites or add-ons incorrectly report incompatible browser
