For some months now, LinkedIn does not load 90% of the time. It just 'hangs'. It's the only website that this problem happens. So I switch to another browser to access LinkedIn now, which is my most used site.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that the website doesn't work as expected. In order to look for the root cause, please follow the steps below and provide us with more information to troubleshoot your issue.

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?

Looking forward to your update!

Hi Denys, Thanks for your guidance. I have tried all the steps several times. The problem does not happen in troubleshoot mode, but it continues to when I'm back in normal mode. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it again, but it made no difference. In fact, the problem now happens with ChatGPT.com too, where I enter a prompt but it does not allow the prompt to be submitted. So now, the two main sites I use do not work reliably or at all, so I use Microsoft Edge for those sites with no problem. How else can this be fixed? regards Dave

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the update! If the problem did not occur in Troubleshoot Mode, the likely cause is an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please see this article for further troubleshooting steps.

Denys, Thanks for your guidance, but I have tried these options over and over again, and when I think it has worked for a while, I log in the next day and it hasn't. In fact, I'm having problems with almost every website I regularly visit. Beyond the frustrations that have built up over months, the many hours I have spent trouble shooting daily over the past week has driven me crazy. I cannot handle it anymore. Firefox no longer works and I have to find another browser for the sake of my productivity and mental health.
