I had this problem too in the past, here’s how you fix it. Go to the setting within the firefox app (the three lines on the bottom right). In settings, you should see the option ”hide images” third from the bottom. Hopefully, this should be blue (i.e. Switched on), turn it off and you should be able to see the images again.
