My firefox keeps crashing, I have turned off the graphics accelerator, until now I did not have any addons and it was crashing frequently - now I have addblock plus (I do not have adobe flash). Here is the list of crash reports. I would appreciate any help. 2e01cb58-679d-46b6-86e7-61c432130921 3f7de722-82b1-47b5-b73f-cdfc12130902 7c8d1c4c-eda1-4b4b-a75f-8179e2130901 157389c7-bfd4-4513-8d54-881252130827

I am not sure what exception_breakpoint is, as the crash reason? Thanks!

hello susanclipper, can you try to update to firefox 24 and see if this can address the issue - the kind of crash that is apparent in 3 of your mentioned crash report ids is exclusively appearing in firefox 23.0.1 according to the data available...

Update Firefox to the latest release

Hello Phillipp, Thank you very much. I have updated to the latest version, and I will post in a day or two about the result. Thanks again. Susan.

Phillipp, It again crashed today, probably for a different reason. Here is the crash report. If you know how to correct it, please let me know. It is not crashing as frequently as before (before upgrading firefox to the current version). Thanks very much. Susan. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/b872e6db-1b66-4ce5-ba51-b7aa12130922

yes, it's a different crash signature again - unfortunately not one that has a obvious or known cause, so i can't give any definite advice. one thing you could try is to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner, microsoft safety scanner & kaspersky's anti-rootkit scanner.

Thanks! I have paid Malwarebytes on my system, MS Security Essentials, and paid Spybot. I will do a full scan, I do quick scans frequently. I had another crash today: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/5d12cbd9-3fd6-4132-bad3-286b32130923 Chrome has never crashed, but I have been using firefox for a very long time, and would like to make it work. Thanks! Susan.

I did full check with malwarebytes, security essentials, and deep anti-rootkit check with spybot. Nothing significant came up other than a few tracking cookies. Thanks!

Have you tried Firefox in safe mode, and maybe with just MS Security Essentials installed.

No, John. I will try that. But if that solves the problem, would that mean I cannot run Malwarebytes also if I want to keep Firefox. The good news is instead of about 10 crashes a day, it is crashing only one or may be two times a day. The interesting thing is Chrome hasn't crashed yet. If I have not been using Firefox for so long, I would have moved to Chrome. But I like to stay with Firefox. I will post after I finished that test. Thanks.
