So whenever I click on new tabs, it always leads to a redirect notice asking me to confirm if I want to open those tabs.

I want it so that I don't get these notices, but the links I click on just open automatically. I have tried the following settings in about:config based on a few threads online:

accessibility.blockautorefresh

network.http.redirection-limit

A few other settings to that I have turned on and off but no difference.

A lot of the websites are also confusing because they seem to want to turn redirects ON rather than off, so potentially I am struggling to follow the correct information.

Any help appreciated.

for any website playing a video, if i skip ahead or go back, the audio breaks. Its not a smooth transition like chrome. It is like it suddenly cuts off the audio and then begins at the skipped ahead point.

The Alt-<number> keyboard shortcut is used to switch between tabs. However, the key event used to switch a tab seems to also propagate down to the content itself. This creates weird interactions:

- I switch to third tab - The web page running in the third tab actually uses Alt-3 to do something - After switching tabs the web page does something unexpected because the browser chrome didn't swallow the event during its tab-switching procedure.

The most irritating candidate seems to be XenForo forum software that uses Alt-<number> to go to different sections in its menubar. For example, alt-4 seems to open a search page and going there provides no new entry in the browser history. So, if I've tab-opened the forum to display new posts and then later I switch to it using Alt-4, it makes the content go to its search panel with no way to go back to new posts. Ironically, switching _away_ from the tab 4 does not register to the content so I can't even use the forum's own keyboard shortcuts to navigate back to new posts section or any other section. Having the forum in tab X will only ever let the forum see Alt-X and nothing else.

This all stems from the fact that Firefox lets the initial tab-switching key event through whereas I think it shouldn't. It maybe should if the corresponding tab is already active but it certainly shouldn't when a tab-switch actually occurs.

I've obviously disabled the content's capability to override keyboard shortcuts but it doesn't help in this because the content is not overriding anything: it seems to be just listening to a keyboard event that it shouldn't see.

Did I miss some option in about:config or do others see this as well?

Beginning today, I suddenly cannot access numerous websites when I use Mozilla Firefox 151.0.2. Examples include Amazon, and Google, et al. Attempts to do so consistently fail at the point of performing a TLS handshake, when I am advised that "secure connection failed". Kindly refer to the attached screenshots. I have no difficulty whatsoever accessing the same websites when I use other browsers, such as Google Chrome and MS Edge. I previously had Mozilla Firefox enabled as my default browser, but I have had to change this, given these "challenges". Please advise how I can fix this. Best regards and many thanks.

When following a link from a news website I keep getting this message - Secure Connection Failed - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. It loads on my iPhone and other browsers using the same link. What setting do I need to address to get this to stop?

I've been having this problem for a wee while when I'm browsing facebook (which works better in Chrome) the site on firefox and as well as messenger is really laggy and I'm wondering if there is a hidden setting that I should change to improve this?

I only have adblock addon installed and I cleaned out the history and browser cookies ect but the problem still remains.

I suppose this is a kind of support question, of sorts, but in my opinion this also has to be treated as a complaint, in a sense.

About one and a half months ago, Firefox became unresponsive, that is, it became awfully slow. I experienced just about every issue with the browser that was mentioned in the following support pages and support issues (posted by others) and I read all of those :

An oddball situation had occurred in which I couldn't for the likes of me go to my librarything.com homepage at each restart of the previous Firefox session, which also causes lagging when the session wants to connect to the other (normally unproblematic) website session tabs, and I also get multiple connection errors + insecure connection notifications for some of these websites. (sometimes refreshing a page does not help, sometimes it does)

I got bored reading all those support pages and trying out the solutions, because nothing seemed to help. In the long run, I decided to de-install the whole browser after backing up bookmarks, speeddial settings, passwords and the whole profile. Simultaneously, I also tested the connectivity to these websites in another browser (Brave) and this did not present me with any problem.

So I did the following :

1) deleted the whole cache and closed the browser 2) uninstalled FF with Revo Uninstaller (which has an option to remove all remnant files / folders/ registry items on the Hard Drive) 3) made sure to remove all cached leftovers from HD by using multiple cleanup tools in succession : 1) Wise Disk Cleaner followed by 2) Bleachbit followed by 3) CCleaner

Went to the mozilla website, downloaded and installed the last version of FF. Next, imported bookmarks, speeddial settings and passwords. Next, reinstalled the Firefox extensions I used before (without any lag until one and a half months ago). I also did NOT copy the stored profile but decided on starting afresh with a new profile.

Everything worked lightning fast and efficiently until a few days ago, when I received an automatic update of Firefox - 151.0.3 - and all of a sudden, the same problems are reoccurring. And again, I can't connect to an unproblematic website like librarything.com, whereas before the update I was able to without any problem !!!

What the hell is going on with these auto-updates ???

Current Setup: OS: Windows 11 Home (10.0.26200) Firefox Version: 151.0.2 (Build ID: 20260525130955)

Issue:

• Firefox suddenly is unable to connect to any wesbite
• All attempts to browse result in the "Secure Connection Failed" screen
• All other browsers function fine with no network connectivity issues

• Disabling any VPNs or network proxies
• Clearing cache and browsing history
• Clearing certificates from the Certificate Manager in Settings
• Attempting connection with a newly created profile
• Clearing the cert9.db file for Firefox to reset certificate information
• Refreshing Firefox (resetting it completely)
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox (after clearing all Mozilla related %appdata% folders)

Observations

• When trying to mess with the device timezone and see if changing it back to the correct one would "reset" something, after a few attempts of starting Firefox in the wrong timezone and then restarting it after changing to the correct one, for a single session, I was able to browse normally again. I closed Firefox to see if the problem was fixed but it went back to the "Secure Connection Failed" page. Was unable to reproduce the same behavior.

• Tried installing a portable version of Firefox (151.0.3) from Firefox Portable .

After installation, the first session works perfectly fine but after I close the session and restart Firefox, it gives the same "Secure Connection Failed" message.

• * Reinstalling the portable version in the folder, gives the error from the get-go, not even the initial post-installation session works but installing in a different folder works fine for the first session but all subsequent restarts (sessions) of the browser give the same error.

SerpClix ClickSense could not be verified for use in Firefox. Proceed with caution.

How can I get SerpClix verified? I can't sign in to my SerpClix profile.

I got rid of Firefox after more than 38 years because it is very frustrating that I cannot log in to even the IRS website with two-step verification for years. I ended up fighting with it every morning. That is stupid on your part. I already have Antitracking from AVG. I have used most Indian news sites for years, and none work now. So, I am using the Edge with minor issues that I am able to solve because I am a retired Prof. of ECE with a Ph. D. Even when I figure out the settings in FirsFox one day, the problems reappear again the next day because I erase all the cookies and settings upon closing. No business wants to give anything for free, and they want some information, such as location. An intelligent user can avoid such things. The FireFox thinks that all people are dumb. I'm using firefox in ubuntu. A couple of minutes ago Firefox crashed. I restarted to a completely new Firefox. All my tabs, extensions, saved passwords, etc. were gone. This happened to me a few weeks ago. That time I found a solution: find a back-up of the old profile and manually restore it. I tried to reproduce that solution this time, only to find that there are no back-ups at all of my previous session. Is there a solution to this problem?

My mouse is setup so that the tilt wheel does Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab rather then whatever actions the tilt wheel would normally send, and that has worked fine for years, but now all of a sudden it is not working in Firefox, it's changing the zoom level instead which is not what I want. Firefox must be reading the mouse directly or something, because it shouldn't even be getting normal tilt wheel events.

I had a power outage occur recently and when i booted my computer again I found that somehow my Firefox account was disconnected. All of my bookmarks and history gone, but things like accounts and site preferences were kept. The problem is that firefox is not saving my history and bookmarks cannot be made. I have checked common causes for this problems, like not activating sync and turning off "remember history", settings which were set up correctly.
