I have been receiving the following error code 'PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR' on several website on my Firefox browser. Sometime, not all the time, I get the same error message while trying to use YouTube, while other times the site loads but says that I am offline and no internet connection. I have done all of the fixes that they say to use online and nothing seems to work. YouTube will occasionally work but none of the thumbnails will show up. Then there are other site that work fine.

Within the last week or so, a certain website (libsyn.com) that serves Podcast audio has been doing something strange to their content that causes Firefox difficulty when playing back in-browser. If I try to jog/skip through the audio, certain portions will cause the time to continue advancing, but Firefox will not play any audio back. Here's a sample. Note that if you allow the full URL to be loaded, then load the stream into VLC, VLC is able to play the audio just fine without any issues.

Firefox crashes when I click on a box in MS Excel (and possibly other MS programs) then move to the browser to paste or not paste. This has been a problem for months now and I've reported this months ago (Oct. 3rd). Does anyone have a fix to this? I've refreshed it and it has been updated (and windows is always up to date too).
Thanks!

I am using a Mac with Big Sur (macOS Monterey Version 12.7), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 115.3.0. My incoming messages are sorted in reverse order so that the latest message is listed first. I retrieve the message headers first then I either delete the message or download the contents of the message. The problem is that when I download the contents of the message Thunderbird does download the message BUT it highlights the message just downloaded and it jumps to the next message. This is very annoying because in order to read the contents of the message I have to go back one message and purposely select the message just downloaded. It did not do this previously.

After altering account settings in Thunderbird to, say, "synchronize the most recent 30 days", will Thunderbird proceed to remove from the local drive previously synced emails that are older than 30 days? Or will it allow those previously synced messages to remain on the local drive?
I have multiple accounts linked to Thunderbird and am trying to speed things up. [article] provides a helpful overview of how to do that with IMAP connections, but it doesn't say whether the already synced messages will remain on the local drive or not.
Thanks for any information you can provide!

Firefox 120.0 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Google Maps (https://www.google.com/maps) results in CPU being pegged at 100%. No other tabs open. All I have to do is load the URL and do nothing else. This behavior is repeatable. CPU stays at 100% until tab is closed or browser is shut down. Sometimes the browser will hang and its PID has to be killed.

Hi. Recently Thunderbird automatically updated(current version is 115.5.1 32bit) on my win 10 Pro 64bit (v22H2) desktop, and now most of my accounts have a problem. My GMAIL account is the only one that I can both receive and send mail from.
Both Outlook accounts can receive mail, but only one account can send. Both accounts have exactly the same imap & smtp settings. Both have Authentication set to normal password. The account that cannot send mail fails login, the popup window suggests this is a password problem, but no password I have works. (this includes 2 MS generated App passwords).
Most importantly, my main Yahoo account cannot send or receive mail. I will just focus on this one for the time being. The 2 error messages I get are:- 1. "Connection to server export.imap.mail.yahoo.com timed out" (after several minutes) 2. "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to outgoing server(SMTP) smtp.mail.yahoo.com timed out. Try again" (after several minutes).
Here are things I`ve tried.
Disabling the ipv6 setting using config editor as suggested here https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1401034 Changing the timeout mailnews.tcptimeout with config editor as suggested here https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1367042 Logged into my yahoo account through browser using email address and password. Deleted all app passwords for TB. Waited 24 hours. Logged back in to check changes had taken. Generated new app password, and took copy of it. Checked with yahoo that the spaces in the password should be removed. I deleted the Yahoo account from TB, and re-installed it, both with the automatic configuration TB uses, and the manual configuration method. Despite TB asking for a password (I supplied the newly generated Yahoo App password), there is no password for smtp, imap or OAth2 stored in the saved passwords within TB.
I have checked the imap & smtp settings against these https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manually-download-yahoo-emails-sln28681.html, and used OAuth on both incoming & outgoing. I have also tried these settings with Authentication set to normal password. I have tried these settings https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html with OAuth2, and with normal password.
I have previously temporarily turned off Avast free antivirus, as well as Win 10 firewall. Since there is activity on some of the accounts I`m assuming the problem is not this. I have also previously loaded windows in safe mode with networking, and that did not make a difference.
Outlook on my Android has no problems sending or receiving from any of these accounts. I can find no useful info on the net with regards to problems after updating, but refuse to believe I am the only one experiencing problems.
After 3 days I have run out of patience. I have exhausted information and options. Can somebody offer suggestions? Thanks in advance, Dave.

Firefox is my browser, and Outlook my email program. After years of troublefree access to Kickstarter, I now cannot link to the site, neither by Google search, nor by responding to an email link sent to me by Kickstarter. Instead, I get a message which reads:
'You are sending too many requests to Kickstarter at this time. Please contact support@kickstarter.com if you continue to see this error.'
I have contacted Kickstarter, but their response is that the problem probably lies with my browser. Do you have any idea why this problem should suddenly have appeared?

Today both our email accounts stopped working. One is a gmail account and one is from plusnet. Both accounts worked yesterday. I have made no changes or altered anything on the machine or Thunderbird. I have found that a TB 115 patch was applied at 09:17(UK time) 28 Nov. This correlates to when the problem started. No new emails downloaded. - checked directly with email providers and mails present
Then I received various messages: 1. Cannot authenticate. Shut down TB, rebooted router. then 2. Time out (received from both email servers.) and occasionally exceeded conection limits.
No problems accessing emails via outlook. What is the problem please.

greetings, Thunderbird not acting right! When I try to delete something or just click on an item it takes a few seconds before any action. Something is broken, and it wasn't like that just recently. At first I thought it might be me, but it's not. I checked, and my system (Acer Aspire TC 1760) is running flawlessly.
Something is broken with Thunderbird. I sincerely hope this is fixed, as this problem is very frustrating, and I won't be able to put up with it much longer.
I am actually a paying member....yes,I've been using TB exclusively since the my early days with Linux (long ago). I would hate to switch to a different Email at this point. PLEASE HELP!!!
Maybe a coding change? Only the coders can answer that.
A long time and hopefully a continuing user,
