I just activated the built-in VPN for the Firefox browser on Android. How do I change the location? ie. I'm in Australia but want the internet to think I'm in the UK...

Hi, so since around update 153.0 i've had this persistient issue of whenever I am forced to re-open firefox (whether by an update, a restart on my computer or a crash) it begins to persistiently quit responding and will never work until i close it. After a LONG while of just trying to open it again, it begins to run, but it also signs me out of a good handful of things, so I end up spending 20+ minutes signing in on everything (considering 2fa on some of those things). This used to just happen with the big number updates, but tonight my computer had to restart and I experienced the same thing happening with firefox just loading and loading. I tried letting it sit and of course it did nothing, I attempted to use troubleshoot mode and there was virtually no difference (it was still frozen until i closed it). The only things I haven't done are the nuclear options of refreshing or reinstalling firefox (mainly because I have a lot of extension settings I would rather not lose because I don't remember all of it). I am writing this on a mobile tablet right now because my computer is still experiencing this persistiently, no matter what i do now, and it's becoming annoying because of the fact that i do have to sign into everything EVERY TIME now it seems. Extra information about my settings to answer some of the "do you have (this setting) on?" or other functional questions: -I keep cookies on and stored on the device -I have hardware accelleration off -I had several extensions on including ublock origin, but again, troubleshoot mode (which disables all extensions temporarily) had the exact same result of firefox hanging. Disabling certain extensions manually also didn't work. -i can't provide exact technical info on my pc since im not on it rn nor really want to deal with fighting it any longer tonight to write this but my computer is on the lower-end, but can still run and does run things like discord/steam fine; firefox started persistiently freezing after a fresh restart of my computer, and I didn't open anything outside of firefox and related firefox modes (ie private browsing) attempting to troubleshoot today. -last time i signed back in before it kept crashing constantly was 4 days ago I really hope this explains my issue well enough and I hope someone can give some advice on my next step forward. I'm becoming a little desparate for answers since i don't know how long this goose chase of constantly re-logging into everything the services i'm logging back into will tolerate, as one of my emails is now blocking my main 2fa method for some reason, so I'm a little worried.

I have a few questions if you'd be willing to answer.

There have been some changes and new additions to the croatian dictionary (https://github.com/krunose/hunspell-hr) and as such, the Firefox dictionary could be updated.

Can you confirm that the dictionaries and language packs are separate additions and that the dictionaries are used for spellchecking? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

When is the spellcheck dictionary installed, only when the user installs it or when the user installs a language pack?

In addition, the croatian dictionary has not been active for the past eight years. As of noon yesterday my Thunderbird gets messages, puts them in the trash, then the spam and then sends a message to "spam" at my email provider. Since noon yesterday, I don't get email messages. I don't know what else it could be. If I go to the webmail, I get messages, but as soon as I download them with T-bird, they are in the trash and then sent as a spam notification to my email provider. I really use t-bird a lot so I would really hate to stop using it, it's much more useful than the webmail. Thanks

Starting today (September 3), ALL of my received emails are being put into the Spam folder instead of the Inbox.

FYI, I have been running Thunderbird (TB) for years and have not recently set up any new filters.

I'm currently running Thunderbird 64-bit version 155.0 under Windows 11 Home version 25H2. I am also running Bitdefender Total Security, but I have turned off its Antispam function, both under my usual Standard User account and the Admin account.

I have tried:

1. Going into TB Settings|Privacy & Security|Spam and clicking on "Reset Training Data." 2. After closing TB, I deleted the training.dat file in my TB profile folder and restarted TB. 3. Right-clicked on my Inbox and Spam folders and clicked on "Repair Folder." 4. Exited TB, copied my profile folder to an external HD, uninstalled TB and reinstalled TB after downloading from the official download site. 5. Rebooted my PC.

None of these approaches has worked to solve my problem.

Firefox ESR115.40 (64-разрядный, Windows 7) - страница выглядит, как на скриншоте по ссылке выше.

Установлены скачанные сертификаты в самом браузере, они отображаются в разделе Управление сертификатами -> Центры сертификации. После этого абсолютно ничего не изменилось.

Может, надо еще что-то сделать? Или на Firefox ESR115.40 вообще работать не будет? До перехода на сертификат от Минцифры России проблем не было.

About two months ago, after various Windows and Firefox updates, I can no longer make Firefox the default browser. In Windows Default Apps the only option for FF is to make it the default program for Adobe Acrobat Document. Choosing Make FF Default through the browser does not work either. Additionally, I’ tried numerous suggestions, using AI help offered by both FF and Chrome, without success.

The OS is not allowing me to make Firefox the default browser. Is there any way around this?

Any suggestions?

I am looking for an addon which displays times in different locations. I find one, FoxClock, which initially seems to meet my need. However, although the developer says its safe, and it has a Recommended badge, text in the app description says "Access your data for all websites." This may be 'honest' but it seems to be honest at the level of a thief saying "I'm going to rob you." WHY would a clock app need access to my data for all websites? Why would a clock app displaying on my desktop, not my browser, need to access any info about my data for any website? Poor coding? Lazy coding? Dangerous coding? Is this only a result of less than nuanced messaging by the developer or Mozilla, by using a generic message, rather than one which accurately states the 'access' is only for specified installation needs? Or another understandable safe reason? I'd like an explanation, since it does call into question the degree of security offered by Mozilla.

The solution proposed is a bit unclear to me, as it refers to "future folders". I need to unthread all my messages. Is this possible?

PS The only version number i could find was for Firefox. There does not seem to be one for Thunderbird.

I have what should be a pretty simple question. 1. I deleted my Tbird POP acct because it stopped working. 2. I reinstalled it. 3. My saved mail folders were gone. 4. Is it possible to get them back? 5. * This question is for someone other than David. 6. I just want to get my old saved folders back into my reinstalled account. 7. It's been about five days since this all took place. 8.The version I deleted was a the previous release.

Maybe I accidentally made a setting, but if I go get email, it sends it to trash and from there marks it as spam and sends it to spam at my email provider. This just started when I tried it this afternoon. I think it was OK in the AM. I use Linux Ubuntu. It moves all emails to trash and then sends them. I just looked at my message filters and they look normal to me, I do have something called SpamAssasinYes, which I remember from years ago that looks at the whole complete header and sends an email to all the providers in it telling them that their user is using their server for spam. Maybe that has changed somehow, but I forgot it was there because it has been there for about 20 years. Should i just remove all those filters and see what happens? I need some guidance. thanks

I have Win11, Thunderbird Windows MSIX packagethunderbird-MSIX - 1.0, and several accounts (The box below won't take anything past "Thunderbird Window.")

I'm looking for some way to make a different ring either for one of the accounts or for certain domains or for a subfolder -- any way that I'll know when something comes in from specific domains. The special ring(s) can be for each of the two domains or both of them. Can that be done?

I have logged into TinyURL.com MANY times using Firefox. Now, I get a Cloudflare Validation Error when trying to do so (see attached screenshot/snip).

This was done in Troubleshooting mode, but is the same in standard mode, though I have no extensions enabled. I've tried turning Protection Tracking off; no luck. - We use ZoneAlarm, but the Web Secure functions are all disabled. - I have the same issue on 2 PC's, one Windows 10 and the other Windows 11, 64-bit. - I'm on FF release 150.0.2 - 64-bit, and both Windows installs are fully updated and kept that way. - I've reached out to TinyURL in hopes of resolving the issue. They suggested many of the above steps but not resolved this issue. - HOWEVER, I've found that login via Google Chrome IS seamless - no issues.

What is it with Firefox that it's having issues with the Cloudflare "Human" check? I've checked the Cloudflare site; all conditions are good, and this very setup passed the "Turnstile" check.

FF is my #1 preferred browser, so please look into this. I see that others have posted similar issues over multiple years here (but a search of support articles didn't find one . . .)

How do I remove "add sitename"* from Search bar drop-down menu?

• sitename refers to whatever site you are on at the time

I have no use for this option and find it overly invasive. I have searched everywhere for solutions and have not found any that work. If it is not currently "removable", please make it so.

I downloaded the version on the site but I can't get it to accept my password all I get each time is this at the top of the box

Just how am I supposed to understand what that means. I would be grateful for any help you can give I've been using Thunderbird for over 25 years without any problems, I had to reinstall Windows and now I've got this problem.
