I hit the permanent security exception when I received the warning that the website could not be trusted after I entered information in the quick google search bar in the mozilla browser. After hitting the permanent security exception button, it took me to netflix.com. Now, the google search bar and even the browser bar has linked the google site to netflix and the latter overrides the former. Thanks in advance for your help in correcting this (retrieving access to google.com).

You can remove security exceptions here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Certificates mini-tab > "View Certificates" button

Usually exceptions you add through that error page appear on the Servers tab in the Certificate Manager. You may also see some exceptions stored by Firefox. Just ignore those.

Other things that need your attention:

Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  1. Shockwave Flash 12.0 r0
  2. Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.
