I'm having a problem with Firefox Nightly since update 28.0a1 (2013-11-19). By browser.tabs.OnTop configuration is set to false, but the tabs are on top. Help?
Everything was working fine until today. I don't like having tabs on top, and I'd like to have them in the classic firefox position, like many people as well.
I hope you'll fix this with the next update.

You can look at this extension:
- Classic Theme Restorer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/
You can set "Tabs not on top" in the options of the extension on the about:addons page.

Intentional change relating to the Australis user interface overhaul. See: Bug 755593 – Remove tabs-on-bottom mode. There's no point commenting in that bug, although I'm sure some people will...
You might want to look for an extension to reorganize the UI area. I'm not sure if there are any available yet for the "regular" nightly, since they probably are being created for the full Australis interface shown in the "UX" nightly. But... it's worth a search if you find this to be a major issue.
I won't swap to Chrome, but lot of people just might will, and this is pissing me off... Really, the reason not to allow having tabs on bottom is very stupid. And there is nothing in the addons...
Chrome has tabs on top too.... so switching because Firefox has tabs on top makes absolutely zero sense.
As it not allowing tabs on bottom makes no sense either..

Modified
That solved it. Thanx cor-el.
Just for the record, Australis looks great!
Oh, and one more thing. Is there any way to modify Application button and make it say "Nightly" instead of "Firefox"?
If "Tabs on Bottom" was the ONLY reason a person used FireFox instead of any other browser... then yes, it makes enough sense.
It wasn't the only, but it was one of the important ones.
Since Australis is a pretty recent thing on the unstable Nightly channel, expect to see various fixing, changes, tweaking and such going on in the next while.
