Why do values appear as £NaN?

All financial values, whether in GB pounds, US dollars or Euros, all appear as NaN. I can hover the cursor over the value to display what the true amount is but why is this happening?

hello jamchocks, please update firefox to the latest version as soon as possible - you are using an outdated version affected by numerous known security vulnerabilities which will put the integrity of your system and your personal data at risk! in addition update your plugins...

afterwards go through the steps covered in Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should.
