Hello!

I've been using Firefox 15 for a while now, for different reasons, but decided to update to 19 recently. I realized then that some features on some pages didn't work as they used to. I have a blog and one of my pages is a scrapbook, the code includes jQuery and isotope transitions. It should do this when hovering over the images: http://media.tumblr.com/1645da372a86ad29161e70fdc47ecb1d/tumblr_inline_mjgfl6hrxf1qz4rgp.jpg But it doesn't. It stays the same if you're using anything above Firefox 15, I checked with friends who have updated versions of Firefox.

Is this a problem or is it how Firefox will be from now on? I went back to 15, but I'd like to be able to upgrade and that not only me and those with anything under Firefox 15 be able to see the site correctly. This is the website: http://le-scrapbook.tumblr.com/book2013

Thanks! I'll appreciate a helpful answer as if this is how it'll be from now on or just a bug to be resolved on a future update.

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.

(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)

  • You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.

Hi there, as I said in my original post, it's not just me that has this problem. I checked with others who also use Firefox and all versions above 16 are the same. Thanks anyway.

A good place to ask advice about web development is at the MozillaZine "Web Development/Standards Evangelism" forum.

The helpers at that forum are more knowledgeable about web development issues.
You need to register at the MozillaZine forum site in order to post at that forum.
