I'm about to move back to IE. I moved to FF but continue to have Adobe Crash reports even though my Adobe is current. Really a pain and not worth it.

Hi sheibrow sorry to hear about your troubles with Flash.
Is Flash dying in the page (plugin crash), or is Firefox itself dying?
Did this start after an update or did you just install Firefox and it has happened since day 1 for you?
Could you check whether Firefox has recorded the technical data for these crashes? Type or paste about:crashes into the URL bar and press Enter. You'll probably see some codes that end with flash, flash1, flash2 or similar. If you click one of those, does it lead to any intelligible information? After clicking, you can also paste the code here for others to review.
Please make sure all video downloaders are fully up-to-date, including your RealPlayer.
Finally, in Flash 11.3 and later on Windows Vista and Windows 7, Flash defaults to a "protected mode" which, at least last Summer, was causing problems for some users. You might also consider new protected mode as a test. See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?

This has happened since day 1.
about:crashes only tells me my report is in the queue. Here is the info: "We couldn't find the OOID you're after. If you recently submitted this crash, it may still be in the queue. If you believe this message is an error, please submit a Bugzilla ticket describing what happened, and please include the URL for this page."
My RealPlayer is up to date.

I added the file: ProtectedMode=0 It has resolve the issue for now but what am I exposing my PC to with this setting? I am about 24 hours away from leaving Moxilla for IE!!! I won't turn back so if you have suggestions, I'd appreciate them.
The Flash player's "protected mode" further isolates Flash from the system, as described in this article: Inside Flash Player Protected Mode for Firefox. It would be ideal if you could use it; I'm not sure we have a clear explanation of why it causes problems on some systems. As you may have noticed in that support page, several other workarounds usually remove the conflicts.
Adobe has identified a problem with mic codec (see http://forums.adobe.com/message/5534562#5534562 ). Let's hope this release (which is beta at the moment) comes soon. This may explain many of the intermittent flash crashes.
I have same problem and feel the same way! None of above works. ProtectedMode=0 has no effect. Am not going to revert back to Adobe 10.3! I love football and had problems with NFL.com being unresponsive & very slow with IE8. Am on windows XP, so was looking for browser that might help with NFL.com. got Firefox and NFL.com loaded much faster, articles loaded fast. etc. But videos wouldn't play, just got Black box. Tried everything! All my plugins up to date, no extensions. Turned off HW acceleration in FF and Adobe Flash, etc. cleared application data, uninstalled FF & reinstalled. Don't have RealPlayer, but used to. Got rid of application data in user profiles and all folders for realplayer. FF still won't play videos on nfl.com. Tried IE again with NFL.com and low & behold with all this f__'in around it now loads at an acceptable speed (maybe not quite as fast As Firefox) but all videos play every time I go to site.
Mozilla firefox is very crappy product! Blocking JAVA, etc., Not working with Adobe Flash and not being able to control things that IE lets you control. Not wasting anymore time with this! Good bye!

I also am having problems with Flash crashing, however, it is happening in all browsers, not just Firefox. I have tried just about every work around I can find, but nothing has alleviated the problem. I have tried to change hardware, updated all the software, uninstalled Flash and re-installed 11 and 10.3, all to no avail.
I don't blame Firefox, Chrome, or any other browser since it happens with all of them. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to comment.
My system is self built: i3 processor, 16 gigs of ram, NVidia 2 gig graphics card, running Windows 8 Pro.
Has anyone checked for updates to their graphics drivers or disable hardware acceleration?
Since updating flash to a beta release 18.104.22.168 I have had no further problems. Check your release version in the 'about Adobe flash player' and if it is a previous version, I would guess the issue is that. Hopefully Adobe will make this beta release a permanent release soon because we are all experiencing the crashes. Since then... no more crashes! Life is good. :-)
