Ho can I stop search application/json?

When I am in the middle of typing in a search term, or hit enter after typing, or hit next at the bottom of a search result page I get a window with "search application/json" constantly. It is extremely annoying, can anyone tell me how to stop this?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

This problem might occur if you use the addon "FastestFox". Disable the autopage-function in FastestFox and delete all Google-cookies (or cookies set by the search engine you used) . I had the same problem and found this solution in the web... And it works.
