Guaps, there really should not be a issue as 16.0.2 is just a chemspil security update as it is still 16.0 pretty much.

Zubair was going back and forth on saying it is Firefox 16.0.2 that is not compatible and it is Norton that is not updated yet to be compatible with 16.0.2.

Mozilla has nothing to update with Firefox 16.0 unless there was some tiny chance of a regression with 16.0.2 (that would be a first) causing issues. It is Norton that needs to be compatible if that is the issue and to me if it is compatible with 16.0 then it should be compatible with 16.0.2 as why do they have to make things so exacting if that is what they are doing.

Also it is 16.0.2 and not 16.02

The security and stability update for firefox 16.0.1 shows this warning: "Norton Vulnerability Protection 11.1.0.73-1" is an incompatible Add-on. My Norton "update check" shows that I have the latest versions. I desire to update Firefox, but also want all Norton benefits are in place, but this Firefox update shows this is not possible. How can I confirm that I can have both?

Please do the upgrade of Firefox first, it should work with Norton..Which version of Norton are you using?

I'm running Firefox 16.02 on Win7 64bit PC. My Norton Vulnerability Protection is 11.1.1.5 - 1. The Firefox Extensions say "Norton Vulnerability Protection is incompatible with Firefox 16.02".

I see in this link that it's using Norton Vulnerability Protection is 11.1.1.5 - 2 but I can't seem to find that version anywhere on Norton's website under download.

It is available via LiveUpdate in Norton.

From bottom of Norton thread:

If you are not seeing the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 16, check and make sure you're running NIS or N360 20.1.1.2. Please visit our Norton Update Center to receive the latest update.

You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version. It will appear in the LiveUpdate history as Norton Toolbar Add-on for Firefox.

If you are running Firefox 16 and Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 20.1.1.2, and still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please check and ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

James, thanks for the tip.

I ran Norton Update prior to posting on this site but it didn't solve the problem. Perhaps the Norton Vulnerability Protection 11.1.0.73-2 only comes with Norton Internet Security 2013. I'm using Norton Internet Security 2012. I just got 2012 this year so don't want to shell out more $ just to get this to 11.1.0.73-2. That's assuming of course 2013 is the solution.

I chatted with Norton Support via IM. They're saying the patch for Norton Vulnerability hasn't been released for Firefox 16.02. I've attached the chat log for ref. Not sure who to wait for, Firefox or Norton before it's resolved.
