It is very insecure to NOT have the option for Firefox NOT to save passwords. I am very secure conscious and do not want any of my passwords saved. Please consider providing this option future updates of Firefox? Thank you.

Chosen solution

The (never) remember password choice appears if you get the key icon on the location bar offering to store a new name and password when you are on a website with a log in form and you try to log in.

  • Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.
  • Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.
  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: [] "Remember passwords for sites"

You can also inspect and change settings on the about:permissions page (via the location bar), including the global settings for all domains (All Sites).

Where are the "location bar", and the "about": permissions page? My "About" menu under "help" only shows the version of Firefox that I am using. Am I missing something?

Ideato: I cannot locate the "the drop-down menu and select Never Remember Password for This Site...."

My tool bar must be different. I would love to have the option to choose "do not save any passwords. Thank you for your advice.... I will keep trying. I know I can uncheck the "save password", however sometimes these "changes" do not "stick".
