I saved the .mozzilla folder and I ve imported my bookmarks but I cannot find how to import my passwords. I ve looked online but I cannot find how to do it. I ve downloaded an add on for firefox but that will only let me do it with a csv or html file. I ve read that passwords are stored in my profile but the file I have is called profiles.ini so I cant do it with the add on. Please can someone help ? Thanks

Hi,

You can also try to copy and overwrite the signons.sqlite and key3.db files into your profile folder after exiting Firefox. Please see this. You can also open the profile folder via Firefox Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder.

For the history you need the places.sqlite database file.
Be sure to remove other existing places files like places.sqlite-journal

Is the password manager enabled?

  • Edit > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Remember passwords for sites"

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

You can check the signon.autofillForms pref on the about:config page.
