I have installed firefox 12(?) in /usr/local/firefox. I have copied the plugin file "libflashplayer.so" in /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins, /usr/local/mozilla/plugins, /usr/local/firefox/plugins, ~.mozilla/plugins and /usr/local/firefox Firefox does not recognize the flash plugin as installed in any of these locations. I have also installed the adobe supplied usr sub-tree into both /usr and //usr/local for each othe different iterations of the files locations. No joy.
