I'm going to have you work through a few things here to try to eliminate external factors that could be causing the crash:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.
Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
If these don't help, read Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly), and follow the suggestions there.
Well done for posting the Crash ID. Presumably you have found and read firefox crashes . I am just trying to give a quick reply in my lunch break. Please follow the suggestions in the linked article. In particular are all your windows updates done ?
The crash report does not provide an easy answer that I can see.
- As a matter of course it is worth as a troubleshooting step creating and using a new profile, it is easy to do and rules out problems within the current profile
- see basic troubleshooting_8-make-a-new-profile
- Ensure Windows is up-to-date
I note the crashing thread involves msvcrt.dll and that seems to have needed updating recently (see) - you may need to rule out a malware problem
- is my firefox problem a result of malware
- a typical suggestion of multiple tools to use /questions/914980#answer-30237
Please post back with how you get on and what you have tried. If crashes continue please post another couple of recent CrashIDs, lets see if it is always the same signature.
