I often accidently close a tab that I just wanted to switch to be cause the "X" on the tab is active even when the tab is not. How can I keep this from happening? Is there a setting I can change?

My question is succinct and complete as stated.

You can choose to only see a close button on the active tab and middle-click other tabs if you need to close them.
