is there anyway to go back to a previous session when using session restore?

tonight when I restarted Firefox after it crashed, I got a message to update an java add-on which I did and when I reopened Firefox the previous session was gone.

is there a way to go back to the previous session or has it been lost, seeing that Firefox closed and reopen??

You can try to check the Firefox Profile Folder to see if there is a sessionstore-##.js with a number in it from around that time.

In that case you can try to copy or rename that file to sessionstore.js (keep a backup) to see if that brings back that session.
