When I open Firefox it crashes straight away - I get the crash reporter box.

I'm running FF 9 (I got the update now to FF10 dialogue box earlier, I told it to wait until later, now can't get it back)

OS is Windows 7

I rebooted and tried again, nothing else running, same result.

Hey PeterPengilly,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

Looks like a problem with Trusteer Rapport (RapportTanzan9.DLL)

You can try to stop Trusteer Rapport if installing the latest version doesn't help.

Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport
