This used to work, but now I cannot connect to one server using Firefox. I can connect to that server using epiphany on the same laptop and also from other computers, even using Firefox on other computers (although the other system has not upgraded to FF10 yet).

The error I get over and over is 'The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.'

I have cleared the cache, cookies, etc., all the items in Clear Recent History with time range 'everything'. I am not using offline mode, nor have data stored for offline use. I am not using a proxy and disabled ABP. When I remove the server-certificate for that site I get the expected 'This connection is untrusted.' and after I 'Confirm Security Exception' I am back to 'connection...was reset while...loading'.

I have read through the trouble shooting guides and not found anything else.

Where else is Firefox storing data that might prevent me from connecting to that site?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Current versions of Google Chrome have this bug fix as well (this link fails in GC) and IE can have it if the corresponding hotfix is installed.

Doesn't work here as well in Firefox 10 and later.
It also doesn't work in Google Chrome, so it seems that the server isn't compatible with the latest versions of those browsers.

This seems to be caused by a bug fix for the BEAST (Browser Exploit Against SSL/TLS) attack that the server doesn't handle.

Thank you. I will contact the elog author to see if the server can be updated.

I'm kind of new to this. But isn't it incumbent upon the Browser designer to ensure their software is compatable with most modern "servers"? In my case, I have a website hosted by Go Daddy, which I think is a fairly progressive and up-to-date service provider. I've tried Safari, IE, Chrome and all work fine but the latest version of Firefox is causing this extemely inconvenient error to constantly pop up. I'll continue the search, but to date, everyone seems to be blaming the "server" rather than finding a solution within Firefox.
