Hi

I am a web developer responsible for an important UK Government secure site (https://www.cjsm.net/). A large number of its users have recently upgraded FF to version 10, and after having done so can no longer access the site. When you enter the URL, the browse simply sits there and hangs indefinately, as if something is preventing it from making contact with the server.

I would therefore be grateful if could you advise on any new security features that have been built into FF10 which may be causing this behavior.

I would also be very grateful if this post could be treated with high importance and some level of priority as the system affected is an essential one used by the criminal justice community.

Many thanks

Sincerely

Marc

Hi,

Please see the Known Issues section and also Change in the User Agent. Hope this is helpful.

A couple of us replicated this on Firefox 10 on Mac and Linux. wget with the Firefox UA worked. Works in IE9. Fails on Chrome 18 so there may be something in how the site is configured confusing both now. Filed: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=723898

Many thanks for your reply jprmc - could you give me some some detail/explanation of how you tested the FF UA with wget, so as I might try to replicate. Thanks.

wget -U

You can go to http://useragentstring.com/ to see your UA.

Thanks again jprmc - just one further question. You say that "wget with the Firefox UA worked" - by this do you mean that you used a UA value with FF version < 10?

Thanks
