Firefox been working fine...but all of sudden, won't allow me to advance to next page on a topic. For example at bottom 1,2,3,..next..wont move when mouse clicks on 2,3,4, etc. What is going on?

I have my home page on Google. I enter a subject and get a list of web sites for that Google search. At the bottom I can go to next page, and so on. Normally this works fine. But today for the first time it does not work. It works on other browsers. It does not work on Mozilla Firefox (Windows 7). I downloaded latest and reinstalled and it did not solve the problem. What is happening?

Virus scan shows nothing amiss.
