I am running Windows XP Pro, SP 3 and all the text ona nay web site is all broken and looks like crap. I have tried to adjust the font settings - to no avail. Any thoughts?

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP3 on a Dell Precision Desktop. The text on every web site I hit in Firefox is broken up and hard to read. I have tried to adjust the fonts settings in the Tools menu - to no avail.
