Mozilla/Firefox AOL homepage(free) doesn't allow me to log off screenname

My browser is now the updated Firefox version 9. However, even with previous version, getting my mail from my free AOL homepage email, EVERY time I try to log out of a screen name to log into a different aol screen name, it will not do it. It stays, even on the home page, on "sign out". I know I previously downloaded Firefox's special AOL toolbar, and the AOL toolbar is there, but the AOL is a free account - no tech support. Help! I have to go offline to log out each time.
