When a download was completed while in Firefox, the download window appeared, and the file would be scanned for viruses. Now I no longer notice the scanning for virus process. What do you think happened, and how can I fix it - believe me, I've looked!

I've searched through extensions and add-ons, and checked Firefox's options and preferences, all to no avail.

Chosen solution

you must modify browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone

type in the address bar about:config

then press the button i'll be careful i promise

then type in the bar browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone

then double click on it to set it to true (probably you have it false)

exit firefox and restart-it.
