All you need to do is to close Firefox and make sure the firefox.exe process closes in the Windows Task Manager > Processes tab.

In Firefox use File > Exit or the orange Firefox button > Exit

{Ctrl + Alt + Delete} to open the Task Manager, then click in the Processes tab
