I cannot load games on Pogo.com, I have not downloaded or installed Firefox 8.0.1, I used to play on Pogo through Firefox.

In just the last few months, I have noticed that I am no longer able to play games on Pogo.com through Firefox. It all started about the time Firefox 8.0.1 was released. I suspect a file was introduced to people to download the update which then causes even more problems for windows 7. Why does Firefox create updates to programs that cause even more problems when they are updated?

The pogo.com issue was a problem that was in earlier versions of Firefox and has since been fixed from versions 4.0 and above. Upgrade to the latest version of Firefox & it should fix your issue with pogo. The version you are currently on is the version that had known issues affecting pogo & as mentioned was fixed from release 4.0 to current.

To manually check for newest version & update

1. At the top of the Firefox window click the Firefox button, go over to the Help menu and select About Firefox. For Windows XP: Go to the Help menu and select About Firefox.

2. The About Firefox window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates. If updates are available, they will begin downloading automatically. If Firefox is already up to date, just close the About Firefox window.

3. When the updates are downloaded and ready to be installed, click Apply Update. Firefox will be restarted and the updates will be installed.

Note: Firefox does not automatically update plugins after newest version, You need to update plugins manually.
