Since upgrading to 7.0.1 the history on the url line does not keep the history urls for the next session. I have even down loaded and reinstalled this version to see if it would work. To no avail. This is a pain typing in the often used urls. Thanks for any information.

Chosen solution

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the Browsing History when you close Firefox.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I think this was the problem. I went back to Options - Privacy and the last line box was not checked. This line was, "Check remember my browsing history". Thanks for the quick responses.
