I have 'HP Simple Pass' on my laptop computer; which is a fingerprint verification software that allows me to swipe my finger and access a website by putting my username and password in automatically when I swipe a finger.

I set this up for ‘PayPal’ and ‘PayPal’ is telling me “We're unable to validate your security key. For your protection, we've restricted access to your account. To access your account, you can either verify your identity or contact Customer Service at 1-888-….”
I have called both ‘HP’ and ‘PayPal’ about this and they are clueless. So I want to disable the finger swipe protocol for this website alone. ‘HP’ told me that they only support Internet Explorer; but that I needed to disable the ‘add-on’.
First I need to know which ‘add-on’ to disable; Second I need to know how to disable it just for that one site.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated,
        JRTjr

Hi JRTjr-

It sounds like you should look in the Add-ons manager. First you'll want to open Firefox, then open the Tools menu, and select 'Add-ons'. This will open the Add-ons manager. If you have installed HP Simple Pass as an Add-on it should display in one of the management tabs- with an option to disable it. Unfortunately Add-ons apply to the entire browser and are not site-specific, so you won't be able to disable it for the one site only [to my knowledge]. I hope that helps.
