How do I get rid of the box containing bookmarks toolbar,menue and unsorted bookmarks from the left side of my screen. It takes up about a fifth of my screen I want it gone...

Chosen solution

You can toggle the Bookmarks sidebar off via View > Sidebar > Bookmarks (Ctrl+B)

Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
