I want to completely remove the advert ban application. Even though I have the latest Firefox version I cannot access my add-ons. How do I resolve these issues?
I have Firefox version 7.01.

You should be able to see the add-ons and plugins by using
- Tools -> Add-ons (Or you may use keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A )
- then once in Add-ons Manager select the tab |extensions| or | plugins|
What is the advert ban application that you refer to ?
this may be some program that was installed on Windows XP and may need to be removed from the control panel of XP, or is it part of a security suite ?
I cannot access my old add-ons when I use tools and go to add-on manager. All I get is ads for new add-ons.
Have you already removed the add-ons !
Do you remember the name correct and full name of the advert ban application ?
Your plugins as listed aside include FlashPlayer and a PDF plugin
- are you able to view FlashPlayer video? and pdf files ?
- what happens when you try this link http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
- are you able to see those extensions listed ?
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ( NOT WITH ADVERT) BUT WITH BEING UNABLE TO ACCESS MY OLD ADDONS AND EXTENSIONS.
kccat5, you would do better to start your own thread by clicking here
I solved the problem by downloading Firefox 8.0, which permitted me to eliminate the Advert add-on.
