Firefox (7.0.1) was running fine on XP. Then it started using running the hard drive very hard. Even when I tried to close it, Firefox.exe was still up and hogging the hard drive. Had to close the process using Task Manager to get the computer back.
After upgrading to 7.0.1, Firefox worked fine for about a week then the computer became very slow - first the laptop, then, a couple of days later, the desktop. In both cases, it was as described above. Happens every time Firefox is started. Have had to stop using Firefox and go back to Opera and Chrome. Firefox was the default.
