When loading ANY web page, it take firefox 3sec to load a blank page. I have tried everything, starting firefox in safe mode and dissabling all add ons, turning 6v on and off, turnig proxy on and off, reinstalling firefox, restarting my computer, and reinstalling drivers. I can use another browser to surf the internet but finding one that is as capable to firefox isn't easy.
ps. Firefox did start at one point and then just stoped.
I use Linux Ubuntu 11.04 single boot

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Creating a new profile worked!!! Im guessing that that means that there was a add on that is causing the problem? I wonder why starting firefix in safe mode and without any add ons didnt work? and if it is not the add ons what other files could it be?? what other files shoud I look into so find out what is stoping firefix from working??
Thanks for the help FIREFOX is up and RUNNING!!
ok!!... its not working anymore. It worked fine for a couple of days and now it has reverted back to the way it was. I tried to redo the create a new profile but it is back to doing the same I stated at the start of this thread.
What do I do now??
The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
no luck...
I followed the instructions to the tee. under my network.http.max-connectionsv, I have two options that are under "dealt status." the first one is network.http.max-connections [value 256], the second one is network.http.max-connections-per-erver [value 15].
I tried both and all combinations of either or but it still don't work :(
