Firefox not responding message on Facebook Farmville game

Most of the time while in Farmville or Cityville (games by Zinga) on Facebook, the screen freezes, and slows down for a couple of minutes, and at the top task bar it shows this message: "Firefox is not responding". What should I do so I can play my games like before? Thanks.
