When I go back to sites that I have logged into and asked to save my login it does not maintain that information. This only happens on this computer (Dell XPS Laptop). Everything works fine with this verison of Firefox 6.0.2 on my Desktop Computer

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

Do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

  • Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
