Firefox doesn't save my Sync Key. Is it because I have cookies turned off? I have to reenter Sync Key every time.

Every time I open my Firefox browsers, Sync is not active and has no information (login or key saved). I have to reenter the Sync key to get it working again. On all my machines, I have my privacy set to clear all cookies and data whenever I close the Firefox browser. Does that conflict with keeping the Sync login active?
