why does the cursor always falshes as if im writing something?

all the time the flashing cursor is appearing any where i press ...as if i want to edit something !!! its really annoying specially when you want to scroll down using the arrow keys!!

the cursor is the same that appears when we want to write something or edit something or highlight something!! it looks like a capital letter I.

You may have switched on caret browsing.

You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.
