When I press CTRL+T it opens a new tab, but how do I get it to automatically switch over to this blank new tab?

In previous versions when pressing CTRL+T it would switch over to the new opened blank tab, in Firefox 5 this is not happening. It just opens a new tab to the right but doesn't actually go to this tab.. Any Suggestions?

Mine still works the old way. Can you check any tab-related add-ons in case they are not fully compatible with Firefox 5?

I went through and disabled a bunch of extensions and restarted firefox and its working correctly again. Not sure which extensions was causing the issue though. Thanks!

Another user reported that this problem was caused by the FoxTab add-on. If you have FoxTab installed, you could try disabling just this add-on. There is also a preview version of FoxTab that is supposed to be compatible with Firefox 5.

Have you tried checking your Tab settings? Go to the "Tools" menu, then select "Options" and make sure the fifth check box down is selected. Here's a screen print so you know which one I am referring to.

@Red_Rooster, when you press Ctrl+t you should always have that new blank tab active regardless of that setting.
