You should see a minimized window on the Windows Taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

You can also try to restore the window via Alt + Tab

No it didn't work. Is there any information in a manual I can download?

What do you mean with "minimize a web page" ?

Are you referring to a Firefox window that you minimize or a tab.

In my previous computer when I opened a web page and wanted to keep it active I clicked on minimize. Then when I wanted to open it again I clicked on the icon on the taskbar associated with that webpage (or word document). Now when I click on minimize I don't see it on the task bar.

Maybe that in a setting in Windows 7.

Did you look for grouping all Firefox windows in one icon on the Taskbar?

Don't you see that window if you open the windows list via Alt + Tab ?
