Do Firefox Sync & Home appear as icons on the desktop when downloaded

I have downloaded Firefox Sync and Home but there is no evidence that I have, Are they supposed to appear as Icons on the desktop and if they are why haven't they appeared ?.

Did you have the Add-on Bar shown:


View > Toolbars and CHECK the Add-on Bar.

The Sync icon should be there.


Also you can access Sync by:

Tools > Options and there's a Sync Tab there.
