Gmail Options button not working in standard view for Firefox 4
Since upgrading to Firefox 4 gmail does not work correctly in standard view. I can't select my username or options at the top right or select emails to delete or perform any actions on. I use IE and everything works fine. I tried restarting in safe mode and still same problem. I also cleared all recent history.

A little bit more detail... I am also having this issue, but I think it's more widespread than just google. My desktop is experiencing this issue (Vista x64) but my laptop isn't (Win 7 x64). Both are running Firefox 4.
Anyway: the problem seems to be with dynamic webpage content, javascript, html5, or something like that.
As amc-1 mentioned, the two buttons at the top right of google pages aren't doing anything in firefox 4.
In addition to the settings thing on google pages, in Facebook, if I type in a name into the search bar, suggestions pop up, but if I click on them, nothing happens.
In google maps, I can get it to open the directions section, but when I click "get directions," nothing happens there either.
I've tried starting in safe mode. Not working there either.
Edit: I can confirm that this is fixed by creating a new profile. However, I would like to avoid this if at all possible.

Found a solution!
- Close firefox.
- Go to your prefs.js file
- type in "%appdata%/mozilla/firefox/profiles" into a windows explorer window
- open the some_giberish.default folder
- edit the prefs.js file
- Search for capability.policy.default.HTMLAnchorElement.focus and capability.policy.default.HTMLInputElement.focus and delete the lines that they are on (mine said user_pref("capability.policy.default.HTMLAnchorElement.focus", "noAccess"); and user_pref("capability.policy.default.HTMLInputElement.focus", "noAccess"); respectively)
- Open firefox. Problem should be fixed!
I checked my firefox profile subdirectory but I don't have a pref.js file located there. I did a search and found different prefs.js files under "appdata/roaming/mozilla/firefox" directory but none seem to have anything with HTML in it.
Using Firefox 4, when I am in my Gmail Inbox, the tab displaying my email address at the top right appears but I cannot do a thing with it - no drop-down. As well, the Options button doesn't appear at all! When I go into IE 8, I see everything and I can access the drop-down as well as the Options button. So far, I have not seen a solution on the Web. I tried looking for 'capability.policy.default.HTMLAnchorElement.focus', to no avail. I am fed up - going to Chrome.
I found the entries, but noticed that they would return on each restart of Firefox. I had to delete the same entries in the user.js file at the same time, save both files and then restart. Problem solved!
