Is there a way to do this? I've searched and it came up with an addon that did it, but it's since been discontinued.

By default in browser, there is no way to private browser in just one tab.

and which addon are you talking about?

Something called the The Private Browsing Window.

Sorry! I searched and yes I too found that the addon has been discontinued.

But that's better, because we might browse in the non private window by mistake if we do not look properly.

Firefox completely gets you in the private environment.

I still want this feature. Hopefully someone can make an addon for it.

Which features of Private Browsing do you want to use in that specific window?

Disable history or disk cache or something else ?

You can always use "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of the History sidebar to remove everything from that specific website.

Yea, I want to disable history. The latter method is too cumbersome.

I agree, it would be nice to be able to use Private Browsing in just one window, like in Google Chrome. Sometimes it's useful to keep the not-private windows open while using the private one. I think this is a big usability flaw for FF.
