I have 3.6.15 at the moment, which does not even support all the extensions 3.6.14 does. Of course, neither does the 4RC....I need my extensions. Will they work in the gold?

It is down to the developers of the extensions to make them work in Firefox 4, once Firefox 4 is officially released it will not make any differences with the compatibility of add-ons, those which are not compatible with the release candidate will also not be compatible with the official release.

You can often find out on either the add-ons site (https://addons.mozilla.org) or the home page of the extension if there is an update for Firefox 4.

I see, thanks. One of the reasons I love FF, like many, is it's wealth of extensions; some of them I can't live without. Is there no compatibility engine you'd be able to put in place for legacy extensions? Art
